On 5 November 2025, our Principals Melinda Wen Gao and Xiaonan (Nancy) Wang proudly represented W & G Lawyers attended the final session of the Chamber Change Program, hosted by Business Chamber Queensland in Brisbane. This closing workshop marked the culmination of a powerful three-part professional development series dedicated to empowering women in business leadership across Queensland.
The final session featured remarkable presentations by Laura Maxwell, Managing Director – Queensland for News Corp, and Jennifer Nielsen, founder of Ekko. World and Board Member of Business Chamber Queensland. Both speakers shared inspiring stories of resilience, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership.
Participants also took part in a dynamic coaching session, “Presenting with Purpose,” led by trainer Georgia Ellis. Through guided exercises in intentional networking and self-presentation, attendees refined their professional storytelling skills and strengthened their confidence in communicating their unique value.
It was inspiring to witness the transformation from the first to the third workshop — as participants grew in confidence, built lasting connections, and supported one another’s journeys both professionally and personally.
We extend our gratitude to Business Chamber Queensland, the speakers, and fellow participants for creating a supportive and empowering environment for women in business. Programs like Chamber Change continue to highlight the strength, collaboration, and leadership potential of Queensland women.
